Volunteers are the heart and soul of Hill Country Family Services

     So much of our mission to help individuals and families in crisis is fulfilled by a corps of dedicated volunteers who provide thousands of hours of service.  Examples of volunteer opportunities include:

• Client reception and assistance with intake forms and documentation

• Phone duties and data entry in the front office

• Sorting food, packing and distributing  food baskets in the food pantry

•  Bread Run to local HEB for donated bread and baked goods

• Sorting donated clothing and miscellaneous items in the Thrift Store/Warehouse

• Cashiers in the Thrift Store

• Special seasonal projects (e.g., collecting school supplies for kids, fans for seniors, Christmas)

A special thanks to Total HVAC Service and their staff in Comfort, Texas for volunteering an annual service check.  It's corporate volunteers like these that make it possible for HCFS to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need.
